In New York City, Black and Brown women are 10 times more likely to die from childbirth-related causes than white women. Currently, in The Bronx, the numbers are even higher: The Bronx has the highest rates of maternal morbidity rates in NYS as well as some of the highest Maternal and Infant mortality
