Federally Qualified Health Centers
Federally Qualified Health Centers are community-based health care providers that receive funds from the HRSA Health Center Program to provide primary care services in underserved areas. They must meet a stringent set of requirements, including providing care on a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay and operating under a governing board that includes patients.
Improving Health Equity and Maternal and Infant Health Outcomes Project (MIH) Program Mission
The Bronx Health Link is a participating agency of the Improving Health Equity and Maternal and Infant Health Outcomes Project (MIH). TBHL promotes women’s health before, during, and after pregnancy and the health of newborn infants. This network provides Bronx women with outreach and referrals to services, health education workshops, case management services, and access to health insurance and social service programs.
